Is it inhumane to keep my dog in a kennel?
Absolutely not. In the wild dogs lived in dens and they crate mimics that environment. A crate gives them a sense of safety. In fact, you will find your dog may go there just for comfort when it is frightened if guests come over or if there is a thunderstorm. Make sure to put something with your scent in the crate to remind the dog of you.
What length of leash is best for dog?
Flexible leashes are extremely popular. They can be up to 30 feet and extend and retract as your dog walks away from you. However, if your dog has an obedience problem, he will learn to see you as a commanding figure if he is kept on a short leash. Try one between five to 7 feet.
What supplies should I leave for my cat if I go away?
Cats are able to withstand periods without their owner for one to two days. They are able to self regulate their eating and drinking. Leave plenty of fresh water, enough food and toys for them to play with so they don't get bored.
